Letter Mr. Friedman, the superintendent of the Carlisle Indian School Ellen's husband Her property and the struggles of farming life ----------------------------------------------------- She thinks that Native Americans do not need the Indian Office, but someone to teach them how to work and the means to begin that work. "We have learned the white man's ways and some are willing to condemn us for it." She thinks it helped her, and she is very grateful for it. |
